7ECM Satellite Conference

Compact Quantum Groups

Von: Uwe Franz, Malte Gerhold, Adam Skalski, Moritz Weber

July 11 - 15, 2016

Organizers: Professor Dr. Uwe Franz, Dr. Malte Gerhold, Professor Dr. Adam Skalski, Professor Dr. Moritz Weber

This workshop aims at bringing together experts on compact quantum groups. These are C*-algebraic objects providing a generalized notion of symmetries in the context of operator algebras. We will cover the following topics: Combinatorial quantum groups, actions of quantum groups, quantum Lévy processes, operator algebraic and purely algebraic aspects of compact quantum groups, links to free probability.

If you want to participate at the conference, please write an email to Moritz Weber (weber at math.uni-sb.de). Note that there is a conference fee of 70 Euro (or rather 50 Euro if you are a registred ECM participant).
