Fellow project: „Texte und Kontexte eines Vernunftglaubens und einer (afrikanisch)-abrahamitischen Ökumene im Islam südlich der Sahara“

In my narrative I want to underline the importance of not analyzed or not enough analyzed texts of West African Islamic theologians, who lived between the 15th and the 20th century. I analyze how west African theologians promote an interreligious Abrahamic dialog with the other Abrahamic faith (Christianity), as far as social and legal coexistence with non-Muslims and common values are concerned. I appraise the significance of this material from the shifting historical context of its origin, but also from the real political circumstances which depend on the diversity of African societies.
