Apartments for Visiting Scientists

The Kolleg’s Fellows and other visiting scientists can make use of the functional and modern living quarters that are part of the Kolleg. They are connected with the main Kolleg building through the glass entryway.

The apartments, which range from studio apartments to three-room apartments, are between 30 and 65 square metres. Four of the  apartments are designed in a maisonette style over two floors, and six apartments have a private balcony. All the apartments have a built-in kitchen with a microwave and a bathroom with a shower or bathtub. The larger apartments also have a dishwasher.

There is an elevator and a room for parking bicycles on the ground floor. In the house there is a common laundry roomwith washers, dryers, steam irons and ironing boards. In the cellar, each apartment also has a storage room so that luggage does not need to be stored in the apartment.

In the warmer seasons, the rooftop terrace offers an incomparable view of Greifswald’s St. Nikolai Cathedral. The common room directly next to it can be used by all visiting scientists for smaller gatherings and parties.

Internet, TV, bed linens, towels and complete kitchenware sets including pots and pans and dishes are also available in the apartments.
