Fellow-Projekt: “Tent Word”. Situational Poetics of Contemporary Poetry in Late Modernity
Starting from the poetic conceptual image of the poem as a “tent” the project aims to develop a heuristic model, which understands poetics of contemporary poetry as situational, related to the experiential and perceptional perspectives of a subject and mediated through media. In this phenomenological approach the project is compatible with recent social theory, which by the concepts of the “hybrid subject” (Reckwitz) and “situational identity” (Rosa) provides the theoretical-methodological framework for the study. Hence, the project seeks to explore the potential of poetry’s non-narrative mode of representation in order to address the increasingly incoherent time structures and cultural codes of late modern societies, and which conceptualizations the poems develop that may contribute to a deeper understanding of ongoing cultural, social, ecological and political transformations.
