Slavic Studies Summer Schools

A key focus of the research group is the three Slavic studies summer schools: the Ukrainicum, the Polonicum and the Bohemicum. The Ukrainicum takes place every August, whilst the Polonicum and the Bohemicum alternate annually in September. CfA Ukrainicum

The Greifswald Ukrainicum is an international summer school focusing on contemporary Ukrainian culture, language and academia. It is aimed at undergraduates and PhD students of Slavic studies, Eastern European studies, and cultural and political science who wish to engage in-depth with the processes of transformation in Ukrainian society, literature and history.

CfA Bohemicum

The Bohemicum in Greifswald focuses on Czech literature, language and culture, and is aimed at undergraduates and PhD students studying Czech studies, German studies and other humanities subjects. In addition to academic analysis, the summer school offers creative and interdisciplinary approaches to Czech literature and culture within an international academic setting.

CfA Polonicum

The Polonicum in Greifswald offers advanced undergraduates and PhD students in Polish Studies, Slavic Studies, and disciplines within cultural and political studies a unique opportunity to explore current developments in Polish literature, culture and language. The summer school places particular emphasis on the interplay between literature and social change.
