From artificial muscles to Hannah Arendt: find out more about the eleven new fellows at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg and their research! The projects undertaken by this year’s cohort range from biomechanics and infection research, through literature, history and theology, to issues of health inequality. Three projects form part of this year’s priority theme, ‘Interdisciplinary Research on the Baltic Sea Region – from Culture to Ecology’: they examine the transformation of outpatient healthcare in the GDR after 1990, theological networks between Germany and Scandinavia, and socio-economic disparities in oral health.
At the Fellows’ Day, all eleven visiting researchers will present their projects in short talks. This will provide an insight, in the space of a single evening, into the full breadth of research being conducted at the Wissenschaftskolleg during the 2026/27 academic year. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to engage in discussion with the fellows.

The digital lecture will be recorded for use in the college's media library. Only the speaker, his/her presentation and the moderator will be heard or seen in the recording. Video, audio or chat contributions are not recorded. A "REC" sign at the edge of the picture informs the participants.
