Unlocking the archive of the past - The recording of climate extremes in trees

Öffentlicher Vortrag,Fellow Lecture

Tree rings keep a lot of information about environmental conditions in the past. Natural extremes are written in annual rings as anomalies of the ring structure. Accordingly, the study of different anomalies of rings helps to reveal and reconstruct various natural accidents, to estimate frequency of repeatability and intensity of extreme natural and in particular climatic events.
